Her boss lovingly called her the “Watersports Queen.” The other photo captures Lake Thompson in Rhinelander, a place Joey and our family cherished for our annual summer vacations. It was Joey's favorite spot, his true happy place—where he felt most at peace.Beneath those photos, you’ll see images of marigold flowers, a male and female cardinal, and rose flowers. The marigold represents October, Joey’s birth month, while the rose honors June, Maria’s. The cardinals symbolize hope and serve as a reminder to stay open to the messages and signs our loved ones send us. And finished off with Joey and Maria’s handwritten names from cards collected by the families. As with the previous See the Good fundraiser, all proceeds will go toward the scholarships established in their names. These scholarships continue to honor their memory and help others chase their dreams, just as Joey and Maria did.
